This is truly a hidden find! Authentic Chinese cuisine served by an absolutely fantastic team. We had hot and sour soup, which was likely one of the best we've ever had, not over salted not too thick, perfect spice. Then we had the 1/4 crispy duck the duck was a little too crispy, bordering on dry, but we weren't mad at it as the flavor was terrific. We tried the dim sum assortment appetizer, which was lovely, but could have used a little more spice as a dipping sauce. The highlight for us was certainly steamed Seabass and ginger and green onion. Absolutely perfect, the house glass of red wine was yummy, and we left absolutely satisfied and smiling! we are ready to return. Pass on Chinatown and try this place.

It was late and I didn't want to stray too far from cuisine my parents usually eat, so I picked this place. (Mostly because it was open late and reasonably priced.) We were seated right away. The staff was courteous and prompt. All four dishes we ordered (drunken chicken, chili green beans, fish & pickled veggie soup, and veggie chow mien) were pretty tasty. We've never had that soup before, and my parents really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a stop, if you're in the neighborhood.

What is crispy chilly beef?   This was a point of discussion over a dinner for four in Red Sun - a discussion which we failed to conclude.   "It doesn't actually look like beef", claimed one of my co-diners. This was something I could not dispute. I would not have disputed the fact it wasn't particularly "chilli" either. Although  despite all of this, I found it shamefully moreish.   The Red Sun's variation on this dish, as most of its dishes was completely satisfying. In a way that restaurants in a certain price bracket provide, a diner goes in exactly what he or she wants, it is delivered within a reasonable time and the meal is complete with only the slightest feeling of regret.   The staff are "authentically" rude, and the décor is "authentically" misplaced, with a Japanese beckoning cat placed proudly on the bar.   The room is small but fittingly red.

This restaurant is a gem! The owner greeted us and was willing to customize the menu offerings. The preparation was wonderful with fabulous Chinese flavours. I'm from the US and have visited numerous China town resteraunts in New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas and this is the best Chinese food I've ever had!! I highly recommend the Red Sun!

Wow, excellent food! Just arrived in London after a long day of traveling and my group was starved. We decided to go to this Chinese restaurant because of the reviews and it was also the closest one to us. So glad we dined here. The place is very small, and consequently, we had to share a table with another patron. She was a regular to this place and told us it was very similar to real home style Chinese food (she was from China). We ordered a number of dishes; including broccoli beef, egg foo young, cashew chicken, and some house fried rice. All were excellent (though their portions are a little on the small side) choices, and I will definitely be returning during my stay in London. Good food, good company, good times.
